The curriculum of SPEC is designed to provide an individualized service to children and their families, and to include children as active participants in their learning experience. It is intended to be a family centered program to ensure that each family's priorities, concerns and culture are addressed and incorporated into their child's daily activities.
Five areas of development are focused on in SPEC: Cognitive Development, Gross and Fine Motor Skills, Self-Help Skills, Language Skills and Social Development.
